Weaned calf contracts

Weaned calf contracts allow clients to provide Calf Company Australia with their own embryos for transfer into our recipient herd.
The herd is managed under best practice systems to ensure the best outcome for pregnancy & calving results.

Calves are managed through to weaning and are ready for collection by clients once weight criteria are met at approximately 6 months of age.

All data recording is completed using computerised in yard recording systems to ensure that all data is efficiently and accurately recorded. Clients are supplied with data at implant of embryos, 90-day pregnancy testing, calving and weaning weights and delivery timing.

Clients are welcome to make appointments to visit the farms to see their progeny.

The weaned calf contracts are offered during spring and autumn annually. Transfers will take place over 8 to 10 weeks. Recipient numbers are confirmed 2 months prior to the season and booking will be confirmed at that time.

 

Recipient purchase contacts

Recipients purchase are restricted contracts to March/April transfers only. Clients provide their embryo’s to Calf Company Australia for transfer in to our recipient herd.

Recipients tested with a viable pregnancy are then available for collection by clients after the 90-day pregnancy test.

 

Contract breeding

Calf Company Australia also have the ability to breed calves to some specific criteria in larger volumes 250+ per season. These weaned calf contracts can be individually tailored to your needs.

Calf Company Australia may also be able to assist with some embryo selection.
